The brief for this project required me to create a book cover design, poster and point of sale for Never Let Me Go. The book must be focused on one particular letter with supporting graphics. The cover had to convey the spirit of the book and be able to communicate a message.
Never Let Me Go is a very solemn book set in an alternative reality with the main character reminiscing her life. To reflect this, I chose relatively dark colours with a gradient effect to set a dusky dreamy scene. I also featured waves of stippled texture across the entire spread to add to this effect.
The poster and cover focuses on a particularly powerful scene at the end of the book which involves the main character talking at present within a field looking upon plastic caught within a wire fence.
